What is Hydro Excavation?
Hydro-excavation is a safe, non-destructive and cost-effective process that utilizes pressurized water to break up soil. The soil is then removed through an industrial strength vacuum into a debris tank. This process allows for safe and precise excavation, which requires less back-fill and restoration, less labor and less environmental impact than traditional digging methods.

LINE LOCATING
The main purpose of line-locating is to safely and quickly locate known or unknown subsurface utilities and pipelines. Once initial potholing has reached the appropriate depth, the line-location process begins. Hydro-excavation of small cuts running horizontally to the utility at 12, 18 or 24 inch increments allows for proper line-locating.
Daylighting, also known as potholing, refers to the use of vacuum excavation to safely locate known utilities and pipelines. The most common use for daylighting is to verify the depth, size or type of a subsurface utility.
Implementation consists of digging a 12″ pothole before excavating straight down until reaching the known utility.
UTILITY EXCAVATION
